"Get Out of This Town" Instead of JAD?

Hey everyone,

I rarely join forums, but I'm a huge Carrie fan and I just really felt the need to post. Is it just me, or does anyone else think "Get Out of This Town" would have been a better single than "Just a Dream?" Don't get me wrong--I LOVE JAD, but I just think that GOOTT would be a better single (and I kinda like the song a little more).

I had a video planned out in my mind for the song and everything. =/ Seeing as JAD is the fourth single from the record, I don't think there's any hope for GOOTT. I just liked the song a bit more and thought it was a better choice for a single.

Anyone else feel the same way? Disagree? Comments, thoughts?

I also think the vocals for Just A Dream are amazing. However, my favorite song on her Carnival Ride Album is Crazy Dreams -- it is so positive.

when i first saw the vid for AAG i was like "what the heck?" I thought it was a fan made video at first but it wasn't. I can easily relate to GOOTT because I live in a small town and I ALWAYS just wanna get out of here...heck, its my most played song on my iTunes (GOOTT that is), just ahead of JAD

You know,I kinda agree with you,I thought Carrie was going to make GOOTT her next (probably last) single...but then again I sorta new she was going to make JAD a single, the song that surprised me the most was All American Girl...I thought GOOTT was going to be instead of that one.

But I think that JAD is a better song for GOOTI I dont know why.but it's more a Carrie song don't you think?

I honestly love both songs. I could picture a video for GOOTT with her great vocals. However, I think that more people can relate to JAD because either they have lost a loved one in a war or have a loved one fighing right now. I like JAD because it makes me think about one of friends who is serving in Iraq. When I found out that she was over in Iraq, I was (and still am) praying that she'll return back to Northern Nevada without injury.

In other words, I think JAD is the right single for this time. If Carrie is to decide to do a fifth single from Carival Ride, I think it should be GOOTT.

I agree with you! I love Just a Dream but I really like Get Out of This town because its a more fun and upbeat song, even though JAD is great also! Get Out of This Town is my favorite Carrie song on Carnival Ride. There might still be hope for it to be a single! Hopefully it will because I think it would be a hit for sure!!! Smiling

I disagree! No offence, though! Smiling I think JAD is a better song then GOOTT because Carrie's volcals are amazing in JAD! And alot of people can relate to JAD more then GOOTT. But it's your opinion and I won't bring it down! Anyway's BYE! Laughing out loud
