I was hoping to send a letter to Carrie but would probably just come off as another fan and it would have been disposed of. But I would like her to know what that song has meant to me since I first heard it about a month and a bit ago. I became pregnant at seventeen and turned 18 last June but as the pregnancy continued my boyfriend and I realized howmuch we wanted this baby and how accepted he would be into our respectable families. We even had the perfect name picked out,Spencer James, i was so in love with this little person I had never met. Around 5 and a half months in a doctor asked to talk to us and we were sent from hospital to hospital for ultrasounds and genetic appointments. Our worst dreams were coming true as we found out that the placenta was not working and he was too small from not getting any nutrients. All we could do was wait. I went into labour July 18 and delivered a 14.9 oz baby boy who was stillborn. He was absolutly perfect and now is the little angel we hoped he would be. On the way home from the hospital I heard this song on the radio and turned it up to listen. It was the only thing that really broke through the stillness I felt. It meant so much to heard the chorus and it felt like she was singing through my head. Ive never felt like a song could mean so much. We played the song at Spencer's funeral and it will forever have a place in our hearts. Thank you so much for bringing this into our lives.
