Carrie Underwood is 4 for 4 as Blown Away Becomes Her 4th Consecutive Country Album Win at The American Music Awards
Carrie Underwood debuted her new single, “Two Black Cadillacs,” last night on The 40th Anniversary American Music Awards with a spectacular performance. The song, written by Underwood, Josh Kear and Hillary Lindsey, is the third single off her critically acclaimed album Blown Away, which garnered a win as “Favorite Country Album.” This win marks the fourth consecutive time an Underwood album has taken home the top album prize at the American Music Awards. Now a seven-time AMA winner, Underwood has been the fans’ choice in the country album category on every album she’s released, also claiming the “Favorite Country Album” honor for her debut Some Hearts in 2007, Carnival Ride in 2008, and Play On in 2010.
This week, Carrie will head back out on her highly praised “Blown Away Tour” with shows in St. Louis, Tulsa, Indianapolis and Detroit with a short break for the Thanksgiving holiday between dates. The arena tour’s first leg will wrap on December 22 and, as recently announced, will continue well into 2013, with 8 new shows selling out over the weekend. A $1 donation from each ticket sold on the North American dates of “The Blown Away Tour” will be given to Red Cross disaster relief.
