Carrie To Perform At This Year’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!

The Special Celebrates Its 50th Year with Performances by Award-Winning Country Music Star Carrie Underwood
Additional Performances to Include Broadway Casts of “Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles” and the Tony Award-Winning “Billy Elliot”
Maggie Rodriguez and Dave Price from CBS News’ “The Early Show” will anchor THE THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE ON CBS, live from New York City, Thursday, Nov. 25 on the CBS Television Network. It will be broadcast 9:00 AM-Noon, live ET; 8:00-11AM, live CT; 7:00-10:00 AM, live MT; 9:00-Noon, delayed PT.
The special, a CBS Thanksgiving tradition celebrating its 50th year, will feature the 84th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade live from New York City, as well as performances by country music star Carrie Underwood. Underwood is a five-time Grammy Award winner, two-time reigning Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year, three-time ACM and CMA Female Vocalist winner and a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Since her debut CD in 2005, Underwood has amassed more than 13 million in album sales and has placed 13 #1 singles on the charts.
Additional performances during the Parade will include the Broadway casts of “Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles” and the Tony Award-winning musical “Billy Elliot.”
Rodriguez and Price will anchor from a site along the parade route in Times Square. The beloved parade is famous for its gigantic balloons of cartoon character favorites, fantastic floats and lively marching bands from across the country.
