Los Angeles, CA – 19 Recordings/Arista Nashville’s Carrie Underwood had a big night at the American Music Awards at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday. Taking home three trophies for Favorite Country Female Artist, Favorite Country Album for Some Hearts, and the coveted all-genre interactive T-Mobile Text-In award, the country star shared most wins for the evening with Daughtry.
And, on the heels of her AMA award-winning night, Carrie Underwood receives further good news this morning as her current single, “So Small,” achieves the #1 slot on Billboard and R&R’s country airplay chart. Co-penned by Underwood, Luke Laird and Hillary Lindsey, “So Small” becomes the country star’s first chart-topper as a songwriter and fifth single to go #1 on country airplay charts.
