Win Becomes Carrie’s 7th GRAMMY® Award
Superstar Carrie Underwood won her 7th GRAMMY® Award last night at the 57th annual show, winning for Best Country Solo Performance for “Something in the Water.” Underwood, who is expecting her first child, was not able to attend the show in Los Angeles but watched from her home in Nashville.
“I’m seriously so happy ‘Something in the Water’ won a GRAMMY! This song means so much to me …I feel so honored and blessed!” Carrie tweeted last night.
"Something in the Water," written by Carrie, Chris DeStafano, and Brett James, was the debut single off her Greatest Hits: Decade #1 which topped Billboard’s Airplay/sales/streaming-based Hot Country Songs Chart for seven weeks as well as Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart for 18 weeks. The song’s success surpasses her previous personal best set in 2006 with "Jesus, Take the Wheel." The Platinum-certified song was also ranked #1 on Rolling Stone’s year-end social media readers’ poll of the "10 Best Country Songs of 2014."
