Dey Street Books To Publish Debut Fitness & Lifestyle Book By Carrie Underwood In 2020

FIND YOUR PATH

Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul, and Get Strong with the Fit52 Life

Dey Street Books, an imprint of the William Morrow Group at HarperCollins Publishers, today announced plans to publish FIND YOUR PATH: Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul, and Get Strong with the Fit52 Life, the first book from multi-Platinum award-winning singer, songwriter, and fitness and lifestyle entrepreneur Carrie Underwood. Jessica Sindler, Senior Editor, negotiated the deal with CAA. The book will be published in 2020.

Underwood is a true multi-format, multi-media superstar. She has sold over 64 million records worldwide and recorded 26 No. 1 singles, 13 of which she co-wrote, and has gone on to win seven Grammys, 11 Billboard Music Awards, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, 20 CMT Music Awards, seven CMA Awards, 13 American Music Awards, and countless other awards and honors.   This November, she will host the CMA Awards for the 12th consecutive year and has just been nominated for three CMA Awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year and Entertainer of the Year.  She has been recognized by Rolling Stone magazine as “the female vocalist of her generation in any genre”; by Time as one of the world’s 100 Most Influential People; and by Billboard as “Country Music’s Reigning Queen.”

Fans inspired by Carrie Underwood’s music not only eagerly anticipate each new album, they also closely follow what she does to stay fit, tracking her workouts and healthy eating tips on social media. As the founder and lead designer of the popular lifestyle and fitness brand CALIA by Carrie Underwood, she believes that fitness is a lifelong journey, and it’s not about perfection. Her Fit52 program, which she shares with readers in this book, is a sustainable, common-sense approach to staying active, eating well, and looking as beautiful as you feel—52 weeks a year.

Throughout FIND YOUR PATH, Carrie opens up about her personal journey towards optimal health, from her passion for sports as a kid, to the pressure to look perfect and fit the mold as she launched her career after winning American Idol, to eventually discovering the importance of balance and the meaning of true health. For Carrie, being fit isn’t about crash diets or a workout routine that you’re going to dread. It’s about healthy choices and simple meals that you can put together from the ingredients in your local grocery store, and making the time, every day, to move, to love your body, and to be the best version of yourself. This book will set her fans on a path to health, and taking care of their bodies and souls, for life.

“What I love about Carrie’s approach to fitness is that it is so simple and practical—it’s about balance. And Carrie herself is so grounded. Following her advice in this book is the next best thing to working out with a best friend,” said Sindler.

“Fitness and healthy living have been a passion of mine for years,” says Underwood.  “It took time to find my way and navigate my wellness journey, and this book will provide tips and tools to help the reader find what is practical and sustainable in his or her everyday life for all 52 weeks of the year, and help lead them toward a positive lifestyle.”
